Pillow Case Dress...er, Fireworks Dress

So I made my first pillowcase dress. Ellie calls it her "Fireworks Dress" because of the stars and stripes. I love the ruffle trim! Turned out so fun...wanna make another one!

A Stubbed Toe

Ooowwww! Right before church, I stubbed my toe on the stair banister. But I didn't notice this awesome bruise until I got home.

BTW, don't you love my patriotic pedicure!

3 Years Old

Ellie turned 3 years old and we decided to have a combined party with her friend who has her birthday next week. Ellie and Macie invited LOTS of friends and had a swimming party.

They had ice cream cake...


All the kids from their Nursery Class came...

Everyone wore party hats...

..and Ellie learned what a water fight was.

She had a great time and so did I. What great friends and family we have. Still can't believe she is 3.

Finger Curls

Don't these pictures just come loaded with memories? I remember sitting on the floor in between Grandma Fish's knees while she curled my hair. I still need some practice, and my little girl needs to learn to sit still. But what fun it is to be a mom and curl my little baby's hair.

New "Water Park" on our Street

We totally missed it! We were at a family vacation in St. George and missed the whole spectacle. The Bishop said that around 6:30 in the morning, he heard what sounded like a jet engine. A main water line at the end of our street (about 7 houses down) busted. It shot water high in the air and sent a river of water down the street. It took about an hour before the city could shut it off. Our house and yard was spared, but the bishop and his 2 neighbors got a bunch of water. Can't believe we missed all the excitement!
