Ellie's 4th Birthday
Ellie just had her 4th birthday party. She invited lots of friends and planned games: "Pin the Fin on the Shark" and "Fish fish Shark" (her ideas). Mom and Melissa came to help out. What would I do without my family! We only had 2 hiccups: 1-no sunshine, 2-Ellie was still getting over Strep.
Have you ever seen more little girls in one ward? And we are missing 8.
So glad our cousin came! Thanks Taely for being such a great friend!
Ellie and Taely weren't bored...just soaking in the rays...wait, there wasn't any sun. Maybe they were tired.

Once Ellie threw up, she felt a whole lot better.

First Violin Recital
So after 2 months of violin lessons, I had my first recital. I performed "Twinkle Little Star", variation #5. I stood up there with 4 other 5 year olds! Brent, who was unable to attend, asked me if I kicked their trash! I was nervous but did pretty good.
Since then I have graduated from the Twinkles. I am loving the challenge and have found that I'm not as talented as I thought!
Here's a pic of my teacher, Ashely Braithwaite.

Simply Find the Motivator
So there's been some improvement in Ellie's dance class. All it took was finding her motivator: Artic Circle ice cream cone. Preferably chocolate and vanilla kind. She's not perfect but is SO much better. Ellie is in the front row in the purple dress.

Lights at Temple Square
I have good memories of seeing the lights at Temple Square. Mostly I remember the crowds and the cold. But I also remember the millions of lights, the Nativities, the bundling up and the wonderful spirit that is there. I also remember Dad telling us about the statues and reminding us that we are related to the guy who scuplted the handcart one. I thought of Dad as we walked by it this night and I told my little girl the same thing.
It was especially fun to take Ellie for the first time. She LOVED the lights!
We went with our cousins from California. It was very cold for them! Ellie shared her wagon with Andrew.
