3 Years Old

Ellie turned 3 years old and we decided to have a combined party with her friend who has her birthday next week. Ellie and Macie invited LOTS of friends and had a swimming party.

They had ice cream cake...

All the kids from their Nursery Class came...

Everyone wore party hats...

..and Ellie learned what a water fight was.

She had a great time and so did I. What great friends and family we have. Still can't believe she is 3.

Finger Curls

Don't these pictures just come loaded with memories? I remember sitting on the floor in between Grandma Fish's knees while she curled my hair. I still need some practice, and my little girl needs to learn to sit still. But what fun it is to be a mom and curl my little baby's hair.

New "Water Park" on our Street

We totally missed it! We were at a family vacation in St. George and missed the whole spectacle. The Bishop said that around 6:30 in the morning, he heard what sounded like a jet engine. A main water line at the end of our street (about 7 houses down) busted. It shot water high in the air and sent a river of water down the street. It took about an hour before the city could shut it off. Our house and yard was spared, but the bishop and his 2 neighbors got a bunch of water. Can't believe we missed all the excitement! (I snagged the pics from my friend Char's FB page.)

Kick My Magnets?

Brent and I have always been impressed with our nieces and nephews who are able to memorize peoms and scriptures. So, we decided to give it a try. We picked one of the shortest verses in the scriptures and would practice it every night before bed. Can't quite get her to say "commandments", but ya get the idea!

Saturday Afternoon

We had a fun family day today! It started off with an early morning parade. Our little town has been celebrating Pony Express Days and the parade is our favorite part. Just half a mile from our home, we snag our spot in the shade and get ready to catch all the candy...well, Brent goes for the candy and then gives half to Ellie!

Then later on that night, we went to the carnival. Of course, Ellie liked the Merry-go-round and even got brave enough to try out the boats.

Its not the biggest or best parade/carnival around, but for small town Eagle Mountain, we sure had a good time!

Fun at Cabelas

Brent had a good time at Cabela's the other night. He took Ellie to the shooting range and let her shoot the gun. It remided me of being a little girl with my dad helping me shoot!
