The Angels Weren't Fast Enough

I believe that angels are always surrounding toddlers. How many times have they fallen down or plopped over and missed the corner of the table or fireplace by mere centimeters. Well, the angels weren't fast enough this time. Ellie was with me in the bathroom. She was on her knees and one hand (the tripod) and was banging on the shower door with her other hand. Well, the tile floor was wet and she lost her balance. Down she went...BANG on the corner of the threshold of the shower. Wanting to be a good mother, I didn't pick her up, just told her she was OK. Then I saw the blood on her face and FREAKED OUT! I felt so bad for the little thing. After 10 minutes of hiccup crying, she calmed down and it hasn't bothered her since. This was our first fall, and from what I've been told, it won't be our last. Just hope those angels don't slack off again!

Pine Valley

What a wonderful time we had in Pine Valley! Ellie loved going on walks with Grandma and was so good sitting on Grandpa Con's lap.

Church was the best. Because it was a holiday weekend, church was packed - over 630 peolple there. Since the chapel only sits about 150, they put folks in the downstairs and old tithing house. They also set up speakers and chairs outside, so with Ellie's encouragement, we decided to spend Sacrament Meeting outside on the grass. Ahhh, it was perfect!

Crazy Conservatives!

One would think that any conservative would be welcome in our home. Not true. Our old faucet was a conservative--and not the good kind! It believed in conserving water. Now, living in a desert, I don't really have a problem with that. But when I'm holding a messing baby, trying to wash her hands and face, the last thing I want is my water to turn off. See, our old faucet wouldn't stay on. The handle would just shut off on its own, thus conserving water. Well, I had had enough with this and bought a new one. A nice neighbor helped me install it and wal-la, I can now wash my baby's hands with lots of running water!

Crawling...sorta

OK, its not the prettiest thing in the world, nor is it completely and technically correct (part army-crawl and elephant-walk in there), but dang, she is all over the place now!

The real reason men lose their hair

I know. You thought it was genetic based on the man's mother's family history. The real reason men lose their hair is their children.

Cheap Labor

This is my cute little neighbor Whitney. She and my other neighbor Makayla were super nice and helped me clean my garage - don't you all wish you had neighbors like mine!?! As a kid, when we would clean the garage, I remember always wanting to be the one who got to use the hose. So I decided to let the girls use the hose and I would sweep. We made quite the little team and they made $1!
