Our Day In Court

After 7 months, we were finally able to take Ellie to court. It was pretty formal with a lot of legal talk, but everything went smoothe. Despite Brent's best efforts, tears flowed freely. My favorite part was the judges' declaration of, "You are now a family." It was a very happy day!

Ellie's Blessing Dress

After searching for a dress for Ellie for several weeks, I was pretty depressed at the cost (some nice dresses were in the $400's). So I decided to make my own...sorta. First, I found a simple satin dress. Then I added the skirt, belt, colar and a few embellishments. It turned out great and I only spent $35.

First Tooth

Can you believe it? She is such a good little thing...she didn't cry, fuss, run a fever or anything. It just popped in. I had been checking each day, but she really didn't give any signs. Then, on February 27th, her first little tooth just appeared. She loves trying it out - chewing on toys, her fingers, the spoon - anything she can get.
