Fun with cousins

One of the best parts of family reunions is letting the cousins play together. Ellie has was SOOO good when she was with her cousins (I think she is bored with me). She played non-stop with Taely and she looks great in Hannah's beautiful dresses!

Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point

One good thing about living in Utah is a free holiday: July 24th ! We decided to spend the day at Thanksgiving Point and visit Farm Country.

Ellie liked the horses as long as we didn't get too close. We went tried to put her on the pony ride, but she threw a fit. Oh well...

We saw turkeys, chickens, goats, horses, bunnies, ducks, pigs, and llamas. My favorite animals were these one below..they're called stinkers!

And though she called them chickens, I think her favorite part was feeding, uh er, chasing the ducks.

Happy Birthday Ellie! 2 Years Old!

What?! 2 years old? Can't believe it! Well, maybe I can. What's that song..."two-year-old attitude"?

We had a fun party and invited Nana, Papa and Auntie Ginger. And of course, it was a Dora-themed party. She did pretty good at blowing out her candles but I think we need to tell her the story of the crooked-mouth-family.

Brent and I were sure that the favorite gift was going to be the Dora backpack. Nope. It was Nana's gift: toy fruits and veggies.

4th of July

Our neighborhood started a new tradition this year: a bicycle parade. Kids decorate their bikes (or wagons) and walk up and down our little street. Families sit out on their front porches and throw candy at the bikers. At the end of the parade, all the kids enjoy Popsicles. The whole think lasted 15 minutes! Love our neighborhood!

Fun Time in California

Its only been about, oh, 6 years since we've visited our cousins in California. Why have we waited so long?!?! The Parents and Greens were fantastic hosts and took us to the ocean and tide pools. Ellie loved all the water, and so did I. The ocean is always fasinating to me!

Ellie could have stayed on this swings and slides all day!

Loves from her cousin Hannah.

The uncles trying NOT to act their age!

US Open at Pebble Beach

Brent fulfilled one of his life-long-goals: attend a US Open. Well, we had such a great time that I'm afraid that it has gone from a life-long-goal to an annual event! Here are some of the pics from the practice round.

There were 1000's of people there.

The scenery at Pebble Beach was amazing!

Here's a shot of the practice green.

I didn't get to see Tiger or Phil that day. We heard that they were there practicing but weren't ever in the right place at the right time. Brent and Larry did get to see both the next day during the first round.

Now that Brent has checked something off his list, I think it's time to check off one from my list: US Open at Flushing Meadows!!!

Happy Father's Day

Brent is a great dad. He gets dizzy so that his little girl can spin around...

He risks his eyes so that Ellie can ride on his shoulders...

And he even poses for goofy pictures. Yes, those are tights on Ellie's head.

Love you Brent!
